In order to ensure better reproducibility of parts and spare parts in the future, Langen Feuerungsbau regularly examines the improvement of its in-house clamping devices and programmes for mechanical machining. "This is simply necessary in order to be able to produce in a more resource-efficient manner in the future and also to be able to supply individual components that fit existing components exactly," emphasises Managing Director Anja Vogt. The company, based in Duisburg-Rheinhausen, manufactures special fire doors, inspection hatches and inspection openings for incineration plants and power stations.
"However, it is also important to support our customers, as many of the doors and inspection openings in use were not manufactured according to the latest aspects. That is why we provide dimension sheets on which the dimensions relevant to production can be measured and entered," says Anja Vogt. The dimension sheet is then compared with the current production dimensions and, if necessary, adjusted to the current dimensions.
Langen Feuerungsbau has also created possibilities for options for customising products in terms of company logos, "For company logos, for example, we offer our customers the option of applying their own logo to the doors," reports Managing Director and Operations Manager Karsten Vogt. "All we need is a 2D CAD file. For the majority of the doors and manhole covers we manufacture, this is completely sufficient. For some products, however, there are technical limitations because not all of our products are designed for this," says Karsten Vogt.
