New Design for Maximum Stability: Langen Feuerungsbau Optimizes Handles for Inspection Hatches
To guarantee its customary high level of reliability and durability, Langen Feuerungsbau, a manufacturer of special refractory doors and inspection hatches, has completely redesigned the handle hubs for inspection hatches. The previous version is being replaced effective immediately by a new design developed in-house. “The new lever has a significantly simpler and more robust design and reliably prevents future malfunctions,” explains Managing Director Anja Vogt.
The most important innovations at a glance:
- Optimized design: The new lever consists of an in-house manufactured handle hub, a reinforced handle bar, and the proven handle grip.
- Additional anti-rotation feature: A new M10 clamping screw securely fastens the handle hub to the flap shaft.
- Easy installation: To ensure the screw fits perfectly, all that’s needed is to create a small flat spot on the existing shaft.
Seamless Replacement During Service
The new design completely replaces the old version. “We’re happy to ensure the smooth replacement of the old handles when service is required,” promises Managing Director and Plant Manager Karsten Vogt. To ensure a quick and accurate spare parts order, only the following information is needed when making a request:
- Which cast metal type is desired? M01 for gray cast iron (GG) or M09 for cast steel (1.4832)
- The exact designation of the inspection opening: S/80, S/100, S/150, S/190, or S/200x240 are available.
